Astan Quds

The Chief Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi has called spurious statements about Islam as fodder for hostile media networks.

Hawzah News Agency –In a meeting with professors of universities of Islamic sciences in northeastern city of Mashhad, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi declared that proselytizing people to Islam should be conducted with true knowledge, awareness, study, and insight, not through inauthentic sources. He attributed many existing aberrations to the faulty representation of religion, stating that “false representation of religion has done the greatest damage to publicity of Islam”.
He referred to “derogatory remarks against Islam, and mere attention to religious fervor and ignoring Quranic logic” as the two disasters religion is presently dealing with.
Warning against ascribing ungenuine matters to Islam, the official explained: “Covering up misconduct and errors with faith and religious beliefs deals a deadly blow to them. Never did the late Imam Khomeini or the Leader of the Islamic Revolution ever trifle with Islam in their remarks, rather they’ve only spoken of God. This approach should be a model for all true believers”.
Further, Hoj. Marvi praised Imam Reza (AS) as the scholar of the holy Prophet’s household, noting: “Given Imam Reza’s standing, it behooves the educated elites to seek succor from his teachings in complex scientific matters. To that end, we need to pave the way for university students and professors to hold scientific meetings in the holy shrine”.
AQR’s chief custodian also welcomed the suggestion to establish liaison offices between Astan Quds Razavi and universities, stressing that cultural measures had always been a top priority for the organization.
He concluded his remarks with a statement on cultural charity. “Charitable deeds are mostly concerned with feeding the needy in our country. Yet, attempts should be made to publicize cultural charity in the society”.
